The December committee meeting has changed to Tuesday 12/13 at 7:00 upstairs in room 224.  Any parent is encouraged to come and listen or participate.

2016 Garner Christmas Parade

The Garner Christmas parade starts at 2:00pm on Saturday December 3rd.  Please arrive at the float location by 1:00.  Our place in line is #12 and the float will be parked at GPAC2 (see map).  We will be behind the Garner High School Band and in front of the Garner High School Trojanettes in the parade route. The side streets will be closed at 12:00 so the float needs to arrive before then.  The float will have a fireplace and a Christmas tree on it and be pulled by a red pickup truck.  The Tigers will be riding the float and all others will be walking behind the float.  All walkers should bring enough candy to hand out during the parade to last the whole route.  Class A uniform should be worn (including hats) and scouts should dress for the weather.

Subcomittees needed for events

Subcommittees are needed for each of our events.  We need several parents to help organize and execute our events to make it more fun for the boys.  Please email and advise which committee you would be able to help out with.  The planning needs to happen at least 6-8 weeks before the event.  The events are as follows:

God and Family (grades 4-6)

We will be starting the God and Family program for the Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts on Sunday November 6th from 2:00-3:30.  This program will be lead by our Chartered Organization Representative, Larry Chandler.  The program last 5-6 weeks and the boys not only earn an achievement but an award they can wear on their uniform through adulthood.  Please sign up on the website so we know how many books to order.  The God and Me program (Grades 1-3) will be held during the 2017-2018 school year.  We plan to alternate the programs every year.

Den meeting for 10/10 has been cancelled due to Hurricane Matthew.


This month's committee meeting has been changed to Wednesday, October 12th at 7:00pm in Room 224 upstairs from Fellowship Hall.  All parents are welcome.

Mini Cuboree October 14-16
